[Carter arrives at Scott's house a little late but that's because he stopped off to pick a wildflower bouquet for his boyfriend, he knows they've both been crazy busy and he wants Scott to know that even though they haven't seen a lot of one another he has been thinking about him the whole time.]

Special delivery!

[He calls out as he knocks on Scott's front door.]

[Checking the sauce one more time before Scott runs to answer the door, he answers it grinning in his lovely apron and nothing else. Eyes widen at the sight of the bouquet and Scott feels himself softening more than he has in what feels like forever. Seeing Carter feels even better. ]

Get in here before I offer to take off my apron out there.

[He laughs and pulls carter into his arms and holds him tight for as long as he can, kissing his cheeks and nose and finally his lips. It has been too long, and he takes good care to make sure Carter knows how much he missed these kisses.]

These flowers are so beautiful, let me put them in a vase. I'm sure I've got one around here somewhere. Come in and grab something to drink. I've made homemade tea and lemonade, there's always beer too.

I'd advise against that. [Carter says as he comes into Scott's place, closing and locking the door behind him.] There was an Amazon delivery guy right behind me so you'd be flashing him your junk.

[A moment later he is pulled in for a kiss and a hug, returning both with equal amounts of desire.]

Glad you like them, I picked them just for you.

[While Scott finds a vase he helps himself to a beer, it's been a long week and he's looking forward to relaxing.]

I guess that wouldn't be so hot. [He laughs some, but most of his attention is on Carter from the second he enters Scott's little apartment. The hug and kiss take an appropriate amount of time, and earn Carter a small touch of skin along his back before Scott retreats to find the vase.

He knows there's one either above the stove or below the sink, both practical places. The stove has it and he puts water in with the flowers and sets them out on the table he has set for them. There's candles that are unlit as of yet, he's still waiting for full dark, and the nice dishes-- the ones that need washing, instead of paper.

Moving back to the kitchen, Scott puts the final touches on the bread before putting it in the oven. He mixes up the lettuce with a light amount of dressing, croutons and plenty of veggies and sets it on the table. Taking a pasta noodle from the boiling water, he blows it around on the spoon before sampling and deciding it still has a few minutes, which is good, because the bread has to cook.]

So, tell me about the last twenty four hours? Your flowers are stunning really. They make our table perfect.

[Carter watches Scott bustle around the kitchen in his apron, a dopey little smile forming on his face and when Scott asks him about his day he barely hears it.]

Huhn? Oh sorry, I was distracted by your ass.

[He says with a laugh and comes over to kiss Scott's cheek.]

The last twenty four hours have been painfully busy and made all the more frustrating since I was counting down to this moment. How was yours?

[amplifieds]

Oh, you mean this?

[Turning around a few times to music in his head, Scott can't help but entertain his boyfriend by shaking his ass and hips and all the other parts of his body in that little apron he's wearing just for Carter's benefit.

He takes Carter's hand and pulls him up and into a little dance with him, dipping him as if they were doing the tango, but then kissing him soundly while he's down there and then coming up to hold him tightly when they both come up for air.]

It was boring, because I was waiting for this and I didn't have nearly as much to do, except study ahead. Days off without you really suck. I don't ever want to have them again.

Yeah I mean that.

[Carter says with a grin and moves into Scott's arms, matching his dance moves easily and laughing when he gets dipped.]

Well I hate to burst your bubble babe, but it will happen again. Hopefully less so but you never know, especially with my work schedule.

[amplifieds]

You are adorable, and you were supposed to be shirtless by the way. I'm feeling a little alone in my mostly nakedness. It's okay. You can wait until after the food. I'll survive.

[His protests are all done in a very obvious teasing voice, playful and full of fun. Scott doesn't care if Carter takes off clothes or not. He's extremely happy to see his boyfriend and that's the important part here. There's plenty of pent up desire, but he'd never push or even mention it any more. Carter knows about Scott's needs, and they barely get time together lately with both of them in school, so what matters most are the simple times like this. ]

I know, I know. It might be more when I finish this year and move into grad school. Then I'll be taking a lot more credits and studying more. I was close when I came in. I had a lot of stuff that I tested out of due to all the work I'd done. I know you'll be busy when you become staffed full time.

[Still smiling, Scott moves back to the stove and declares the pasta done-- he grabs a pot holder and takes it to the sink to dump into the strainer and then into a bowl to place at the table. The sauce is placed in a similar bowl, and the garlic bread comes out at that moment and warm is placed in a towel lined basket and added to the table. All that's needed is Scott lighting the candles, which he does, lowering the lights and them sitting down]

Our dinner is served, my heart.

Oh right, yeah. Sorry. Kind of forgot about that because again....easily distracted.

[He says and then hooks his fingers into the collar of his shirt and yanks it up and over his head, tossing it onto the back of one of the dinning room chairs. He then gives Scott another hug, careful to not get in the way of his cooking but to give them a nice moment of skin on skin contact.]

That's got to be kind of exciting though, right? Grad school.

[When dinner is announced Carter helps Scott bring things to the table and then gets his chair for him, leaning in to kiss him sweetly.]

Thank you for cooking, babe. It smells amazing.

[amplifieds]

[Relishing the moment between them, Scott leans back into the hug with a long open sigh. This is exactly what he's been waiting for. A part of him wishes that the top of the apron wasn't in the way, but there's still a lot of skin to touch.

Scott's fingers slide over Carter's back, and he pulls away from the food just long enough to lean in and inhale at his boyfriend's neck. It's more intimate than most other things. It gives Scott a sense not only of his scent today, but what he's been doing the last couple days, and his emotional pheromones-- how Carter's feeling right now. It's the connection he's been missing so desperately. ]

I needed that.

[He admits quietly before setting dinner out. Once he settles at the table, kissing Carter with a bright smile and a nod. He moves his chair over closer to his boyfriend's so that he can touch their knees together as they eat. ]

It's a huge prospect, and I'm nervous and excited all at once. The dinner is my way of serving you after all the hard work you've put in. You deserve it. I hope it turns out okay. I'm not a spectacular cook, but I can open up some jars and boxes.

[Carter might not have the impressive nose that Scott does but he still enjoys smelling his boyfriend, the clean warm scent of his skin and his natural musk.]

Same.

[He says and makes sure to kiss him before they sit down to eat, he takes a couple of tentative bites and then smiles at Scott sweetly.]

For opening some jars and boxes this tastes amazing, you did great.

[One of Scott's hands rests on Carter's leg beneath the table as he too takes a few bites of his creation. It wasn't too hard, but it still tastes good. There's nothing quite like a little bit of vodka penne to make a night romantic. The bread was done perfectly as well-- exactly the right amount of spices, garlic and parmesean cheese all cooked to crisped perfection around the outside and soft in the middle. It really suited the mood, and Scott's palate. ]

Not to toot my own horn, but you're right, it does taste pretty good. At least I have one meal I know I can make for you if we ever end up happily ever after and living together.

[He grins and squeezes Carter's knee. They care deeply, and have shared a lot with one another, but they still have big steps to take before they go that far. Scott is an optimist in all things though, and doesn't see life any other way. ]

[extrasensory_problems]

Just that one meal huhn? Pasta every night?

[He teases and then focuses on eating, he's had a busy week so he polishes off not just one plate but a second one as well as lots of bread and at the end of it he leans back in his chair with a sigh.]

Ohhhhhhhhh man. I might burst but if I do I'll die happy and satiated.

I think I can learn more. I'm not too old to learn new tricks.

[Laughing, Scott digs in and he's always had a pretty big appetite, so eating as much as Carter does isn't a problem. It brings on a nice content body buzz. The bread is actually pretty damn perfect, and he probably has one too many pieces of it, but how can he stop. Tossing a piece of crust back on his plate, he laughs.]

No kidding. I think we took care of that. Its' a good thing we're not planning on changing the world right now, and the only boss fights I have to worry about are on my computer.

[He snickers, because it's his stupid humor.]

Well since you cooked it's only fair that I clean.

[Carter says and slowly gets up from his chair, collecting the dishes and stopping to give Scott a kiss on his way into the kitchen. Once in there he gets to work on the dishes, he could probably leave them but he was always taught to take care of the mess sooner rather than later.

Besides he doesn't want to stop any kind of cuddling they will get up to later in other to clean.]

There we go, all clean. Shall we go collapse on the couch?

[amplifieds]

[It's hardly fair in his opinion to make Carter do all the work. It was enjoyed by both of them. Getting up, he wraps his arms around the dishwasher and kisses the side of his neck. Thankfully, there's a dishwasher so really all that's needed is a little good rinsing off of most things.

Scott works a little on the sauce pan, and then sets it to soak a little bit. That can wait. He's pretty fastidious himself. He was raised by a singlemom. He'd be murdered in his sleep if he didn't know how to do dishes.]

Sounds like a perfect plan. We didn't even talk about movies, did we?

[Half the time their movie watching is a sham for makeout session, but it's always helpful if they feel like really having cuddle time instead. Scott opens up the movie browser on his TV. It's obvious he binges plenty with all the services he has...]

[Carter flops down on the couch next to Scott and steals the remote, turning off the TV and tossing the remote away before wrapping his arms around Scott and pulling him into a nice tight hug.]

Nope, no TV. I haven't seen you in what feels like forever, so I want to focus all my attention on you.

[He tilts his head down and kisses him, combing one of his hands through Scott's short hair before moving it down to rub at the muscles around his neck and skull.]

I've missed you, missed this.

[amplifieds]

[There's a laugh when the remote is stolen, and the obligatory 'heeeey', but it's not any real protest. Scott would much rather fall into his boyfriend's arms than anything else. Sliding his own arms around Carter in return, he noses against the other male's jawline.]

All your attention. Wow, I am feeling pretty special now. What am I going to do with all this attention.

[Sighing into the kiss, Scott feels himself melting against Carter. It has been too long since they've laid against one another and made out like this. Without even thinking, he slides his fingers along the base of Carter's shirt, tracing the line right above his pants, knowing that if he pulls up the shirt there, he'll find some of the softest skin. ]

Mn. You, I've missed you so much. This too. I've needed you so close. It's so hard when I don't get to touch you.

[extrasensory_problems]

[Carter chuckles at Scott's mild protest and kisses him a little deeper, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth as he feels Scott's fingers slip inside his shirt. It tickles but in a nice way.]

I like that you're a touchy person like me, I've dated some people who don't like to cuddle as much and it's always hard because doing this kind of stuff feels really good to me.
Important too, you know?
It makes a stronger connection I think.

[There was no intent in tickling. It was more the need to touch, to run his fingers over Carter's skin in an intimate manner. Scott is a needy person and he knows that Carter knows this. He does his best to step on the majority of how he feels most of the time, but now and then it gets the best of him. In times like this though. He loves the ability he has to run his fingers over his boyfriend's skin as they kiss.

Scott falls deeper into the kiss, answering Carter's intensity with his own. When they break, he keeps his face close and his body closer. His hand slides higher and he curls his nails around to run them in a little pattern on Carter's back, his own promise of devotion.]

I need to touch. It's a part of me, a part of the wolf. I don't think that we'd be as close if we couldn't lay here like this and touch and kiss. I think that physical is very important, and communication during and around it is equally as important. I mean, some of the best conversations I ever had were... pillow talk, you know? It's that time right after, when you feel so close that it's like there's nothing you can't share.

[Scott dips his head and blushes. It's not easy to admit these things, and he's trying to share, not push, he hopes Carter understands. He feels very intimate with Carter even like this, and he's already given him his deepest secret.]

[Carter eases down further onto the couch, pulling Scott with him so they can lay stretched out together on it. Smiling at the way Scott's nails trace patterns on his skin.]

Are all wolves touchy? [He asks, kissing Scott's temple as his own hand rubs the back of his neck. Massaging the muscles there.]

Like is that the biggest secret all werewolves have? That they all love cuddling?

[amplifieds]

I don't know about all wolves. I've never made out with another one. [There's a small smirk on Scott's face as he drops his head and lets Carter rub out the tension from his neck. He didn't even know that he'd been running tense lately, but the proof is in the pudding they say.

It feels so good to have Carter's hands on him that he growls that low sort of purr that he has that's close to a moan. ] I don't have a traditional pack, but I don't think so. Dogs do, but werewolves are more like people, and like touching in different degrees. Derek, one of my mentors is not big on it at. all. I like you and your touches, but I like you.

[extrasensory_problems]

I like your touches as well.

[Carter says and lets his fingers slip down from the base of Scott's neck to the apron ties around his neck, tugging at them.]

I also like touching you, so much in fact that I think we should take this off don't you? [He teases, a sly little smile forming on his lips.] You're done cooking after all....

[amplifieds]

You have all my touches any where you want them, you know that.

[There's a large smirk on Scott's lips and a glint to his eyes when he feels the tie go at the back of his neck. Reaching behind his back. All it takes is a single tug, and the second set of strings is done and Scott's completely free of his apron.]

Look at that. Nothing between me and you but your clothing now. I think that I'm now the one at a disadvantage.

[Seeing where this was going, Scott lets go of his previous restraints and sighs knowing that he gets to give in and be with his boyfriend tonight, however it is they are going to be. He kisses over Carter's neck and sighs along it. ]

God, I've missed you so much. You have no idea.

Considering I feel something pressing against my thigh? I think I have an idea. [Carter teases, looking down briefly at Scott's half erection.]

Not that I mind of course, it feels good to have you all naked and ready for me.
